At PhysiAlign, we specialize in pain management therapy to help you manage pain and enhance physical function through evidence-based, non-pharmacological approaches. Your treatment plan may include a combination of manual therapy, targeted exercise, and personalized education, as well as specialized techniques such as dry needling, Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and pain neuroscience education. Additionally, we offer scoliosis management and sports injury rehabilitation, tailoring these tools to your unique needs so you can move with confidence and return to the activities you love.
Our team of sports physical therapists specializes in sports injury rehabilitation, working closely with athletes to help them recover from injuries, improve performance, and prevent future injuries. We are passionate about interscholastic and club sports, but we recognize that regular competition can sometimes overshadow the importance of sound training in foundational strength. Additionally, we offer pain management therapy and scoliosis management services, specifically tailored for middle and high school athletes as well as adult athletes.
Our stability programs are tailored to meet your unique needs and goals, emphasizing sustainable lifestyle changes and healthy habits that support your body. We also incorporate pain management therapy and scoliosis management techniques to enhance your comfort in your body and environment, along with strategies for effective sports injury rehabilitation.
Our interdisciplinary approach focuses on identifying the biomechanical, environmental, and social factors that may be related to your symptoms, particularly in the context of pain management therapy, scoliosis management, and sports injury rehabilitation. We do not believe that one size fits all, so your plan of care will likely reflect various techniques tailored to your history, present needs, and future goals.
The Rigo Schroth-Based Method incorporates three-dimensional curve-specific physical therapy exercises based on the principles of Katharina Schroth, and developed further by Dr. Manuel Rigo, MD. These exercises play a crucial role in scoliosis management by helping to decrease the risk of curve progression, improve postural awareness, reduce pain, and enhance strength, breathing, and body mechanics. Additionally, this approach is beneficial for pain management therapy, as it educates and motivates individuals towards an overall goal of improving their quality of life. Furthermore, it can be adapted for sports injury rehabilitation, ensuring a comprehensive strategy for enhancing overall well-being.
We are trained through American Bone Health (now part of Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation), whose primary mission is to teach people how to build and keep strong and healthy bones for life. We provide practical and up-to-date information and resources to engage, educate, and empower individuals to prevent bone loss, osteoporosis, and fractures. Additionally, we offer pain management therapy and scoliosis management, alongside programs for sports injury rehabilitation. We love bones, and we want you to love yours too. Together with your primary care practitioner, we will develop a unique bone health program tailored to your needs.
Scoliosis specific physical therapy exercise is essential for individuals dealing with juvenile, adolescent, or adult idiopathic scoliosis, excessive curvature of the thoracic spine (kyphosis), and/or flatback. These Schroth-based exercises play a crucial role during brace weaning stages, as well as in pre- and post-surgical phases for all ages, particularly in scoliosis management for juvenile and congenital cases. They also support optimal curve management across the lifespan while contributing to effective pain management therapy. It's important to recognize that each case is unique; therefore, this method should be integrated into a comprehensive treatment plan alongside your primary care practitioner, orthopedist, orthotist, and, if necessary, a mental health counselor. Additionally, these exercises can be beneficial in the context of sports injury rehabilitation, ensuring a well-rounded approach to recovery.

In 2019, Lauren underwent emergent spinal surgery involving a decompression and fusion at L4–L5. The recovery was slow and challenging, but it became a defining experience—one that shaped her both personally and professionally. Moving through that healing process deepened her empathy, strengthened her resilience, and expanded her understanding of what patients truly need during recovery, including effective pain management therapy.
Seven years later, she faced a second spinal surgery, this time a decompression at L3–L4. As she works through her own rehabilitation, she is documenting each step of her journey back to full strength. Her goal is not only to restore her own function but also to use this experience to better guide others through their recovery, specifically in areas like scoliosis management and sports injury rehabilitation.
Lauren understands that every recovery is unique. What sets her apart is the rare combination of extensive clinical expertise in spine care and firsthand experience navigating the physical and emotional realities of spinal surgery. She brings that dual perspective to her practice—meeting you with compassion, clarity, and a deep commitment to helping you return to the strongest version of yourself.

In 2025, Julie sustained a scaphoid fracture in her left hand while competing in a field hockey tournament in California. The injury required surgery and a long, carefully managed recovery that stretched through the summer and early fall. With patience, determination, and a thoughtfully structured return-to-sport program, she made her way back to high school coaching and competition later that year.
Like her colleague Lauren, Julie experienced firsthand the physical and mental challenges that come with a successful sports injury rehabilitation journey. Navigating setbacks, rebuilding strength, and trusting the process gave her a deeper appreciation for what athletes and active individuals face when injury interrupts the activities they love.
